Doug and Kim and Family Sorry for your loss

The Family of Brig. Gen. James Eifert

On behalf of The Knights of St. John Commandery # 103 in Louisville, Kentucky , I wish to express our deepest sympathy to your family. Jim was a dedicated member of the Knights of St. John. I was fortunate to know of Jim through our meetings of the Kentucky Grand for many years. I have learned a lot from Jim about the Knights, as there were many times I could ask him a question about something and he would more often than not give me the answer that was needed. When Jim was secretary of his commandery, he would always make sure that I received his reports on time. I am sure that Jim did more for the Knights of St. John than a lot of us would ever know. I was so proud to stand with him and other Kentucky Grand Officers as we took our oath of office, because I knew that Jim would always be there for all of us. Brother Jim, may your soul and the soul of all the faithful departed members of the Knights of St. John rest in peace. Amen.

A Very Good Man

A very good man is laid to rest. I became a good friend to Jim and his sons through the Scouts. After I lost my father, Jim became like a second father to me. He raised us all well. I am sorry not to pay my respects in person, but Covid travel restrictions forbid. My sincere sorrow, prayers, and condolences. Pete Weisenberger
