Jack Eric Scaggs, 61, of Burlington, KY passed away Wednesday, April 14, 2021, with his loving wife by his side. He was born July 16, 1959 in Columbus, OH to Charles and Ruby Scaggs. Jack was a hardworking man, and providing for his family was always his top priority. He worked for 40 years with Applied Industrial Technologies in many capacities before having to leave due to his illness. Jack was also a huge sports fan, and he loved The Ohio State Buckeyes, some may even argue he had scarlet and gray in his blood. When the Buckeyes’ season would come to an end, Jack supported the Cincinnati Reds and the Bengals. He also enjoyed playing pool and he was very good at it, but he was famous for his awesome “Air Guitar” skills. Jack was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and he cherished spending time with his family. Family was always his main concern, and he would do whatever it took to give them a great life. His mother, Ruby Scaggs preceded him in death. Jack is survived by his loving wife of 36 plus years: Marsha Scaggs, his beloved children: Jamie Scaggs-Farmer (Michael), and Jeremy Scaggs, his dear father: Charles Scaggs, his cherished grandson: Arlo Farmer, his supportive siblings: John Scaggs (Tonda Coulter) and Sharon Scaggs-Wall (Scott), and several loving nieces, nephews, and friends. A visitation will be held for Jack on Monday, April 19, 2021 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Linnemann Funeral Home, 1940 Burlington Pike, Burlington, KY 41005. Another visitation will be held Tuesday, April 20, 2021 from 10:00 AM until the start of the Funeral Service at 11:00 AM at the Funeral Home. Sorry for your loss

The Stanton family would like to extend our deepest sympathy on your loss. I have been with Applied Industrial Technologies for almost 21 years now. What I liked about Jack was he was always straight to the point, a straight shooter. I’ve had many conversations with the man while being employed there. He will be missed. Again you all are in our thoughts and prayers.

Sorry for your lost

John, Sharon, Uncle Chuck and Marsha and Family, I am so sorry for your loss. We all know he is in a better place.
Love, Shirley ( Adams) Barnett
