Sending loving thoughts and prayers

Dearest Ann, I read of Jerry’s passing with both great sadness and heartwarming and wonderful memories from many years ago. I always enjoyed the company of you both.

Gerald Silvers, An Advocate for Art and Preservation

Gerald will be missed by all of us in the American Art Society and the Taft Museum. He was a strong supporter of the arts in the Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky Communities. His steady warmth and intelligent reflection concerning artists and exhibitions will be missed in our gatherings. Hope he are enjoying some beautiful art even now.
Love to you, Ann, Sandy and Al Geiser

Heartfelt condolences

To the Silvers family I extend heartfelt condolences for your loss. The God of all comfort is close to the brokenhearted and He has great compassion for those who are grieving the loss of a loved one (Psalms 34:18). May you find comfort in His grand promise to bring an end to death (Isaiah 25:8). It is my hope that these thoughts will help to ease your sorrow in the days ahead.
D. Hill

Most Extraordinary Individual

Gerald “Jerry” Silvers was one very extraordinary individual and my life and the lives of many others were significantly enriched by knowing and spending time with him. He was very bright and motivated and absolutely excelled as a newspaper during the golden age of newspapers. His newspaper and marketing achievements were very notable but paled in comparison to Jerry’s accomplishments as a husband, patron of the arts, mentor and citizen. He was such a delight to be with and brought such wit and warmth to every gathering. Our hearts go out to his beloved wife Ann and family. Many are reeling from the shocking news of Jerry’s passing but it is comforting to know that his spirit will live on in the hearts and deeds of so many privileged to know this special, special man. God’s speed, my cherished friend!
