Gary Christian, 78 of Florence, passed away naturally at his home on January 22, 2022. Gary was born in Wadsworth, Ohio on February 6, 1943 to the late Ralph and Eleanor Christian. He attended Wadsworth High School where he was very active in various sports. He retired from Valley Belting and Hose. Gary was always active in his community. He was a competitive coach for St. Paul’s Soccer team and NKSC, announced for a number of local high schools, and was an avid golfer.

Gary is survived by his son: Gordon Grimes (Melissa Wildeboer), grandchildren: Josh Grimes (Lauren Davis), Kari (Jeremy) Wade, Alexa Grimes, niece: Jennifer Yost/Vaden, as well as great-grandchildren, brother: Denny Christian, and sister: Diane McGregor. He was preceded in death by his wife: Barbara Christian and son: Scott Christian.

A visitation will be held on Friday, January 28, 2022 from 5pm until 7pm at Linnemann Funeral Home in Burlington, KY.  A procession will leave Linnemann Funeral Home in Burlington on Saturday at 10:30am to travel to Highland Cemetery in Ft. Mitchell for at graveside service beginning at 11am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to The Estate of Gary Christian or toward funeral expenses (Linnemann Funeral Home). Golf Buddy

Christian Family…..deepest condolences and prayers…..I have played golf with Gary the last five years in the Kenton County Senior League…our matches were great fun and we always had a good time…..my brother Ron (a fellow lefty) always tried out Gary’s new left handed clubs and we all were great friends….my golf partner Denny and I always looked forward to our matches with Gary and Jim….he will be missed !!

Gary was my mom’s younger brother and my uncle. I am sad to hear of his passing and wish I could be there to support Gordon and his family during this difficult time.
