Interment Info: Linnemann Funeral Home Crematory

Bernie was born on November 1st, 1942 in Covington to John (Fritz) Beck and Helen Maloney Beck . A firstborn grandson on both sides of the family, he was a “big” deal despite the fact that he was vertically challenged. He was a proud Covington Catholic Colonel, and he graduated from Villa Madonna College (now Thomas More University), and Salmon P. Chase College of Law. Bernie served in the US Navy from 1961-1967 on the USS Independence. At the tender age of 32, he married Ann Litmer, one of his luckiest days. He practiced law on his own and in various firms. Bernie died unexpectedly on Sunday, May 17, 2020 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood, KY. He was predeceased by his parents. Bernie is survived by his wife, Ann, sons, John (Linda), Jeff (Judy), and Tom (Amanda). He also leaves his sister, Judy Walker, and his beloved grandchildren: Alex, Sadie, Emmie, and Lucia. In light of the Covid-19 pandemic, services will be private. Bernie was most proud of his 10 plus years of sobriety and happily mentored other members of the AA fellowship. Bernie was someone I admired. A recruiting talk he gave on behalf of Chase over 40 years ago was one of the key factors in my decision to become a lawyer myself. He will be missed.

Sending prayers

Dear Beck family,

I am so sorry for your loss. I will be sending you thoughts and prayers for strength in the days to come.

So many memories from childhood! Rest in peace Mr. Beck.

Wonderful Human Being!

Ann, please accept my sincere condolences and prayers in this time of sorrow. Bernie was a wonderful human being and I was blessed by knowing him and counting him as a friend. God Bless. Joe Baker

May God Bless your family and welcome Bernie home.

Bernie Beck was a good lawyer, a good person, and a good man. I always enjoyed my time with him. In the earlier years of our careers, we shared a lot of time together. I am sure this is a time of enormous grief for the Beck family. My wife, Shirley, and I extend our most sincere condolences to all of you. As Bernie’s Obituary suggested we should, in lieu of flowers, we will send checks to both of the charities your family designated. May God Bless your family and welcome Bernie home.

Memory of Bernie Beck

To Bernie’s Family,
I met Bernie through my late Uncle Adrian Greenberg. I enjoyed Bernies friendship for over 30 years. I found Bernie to be a real gentleman. Bernie had a great smile but better was his laugh. I have not had contact with Bernie for several years. But, I will always consider Bernie a friend and I will treasure all I learned from him.
May Bernie’s memory be for a blessing.

Stuart Hodesh

Deepest Sympathy

May you find comfort in your memories. We will hold your family in thought and prayer during this difficult time of goodbye. Gary & Kathleen Rosing & Family
