Edward “Jeff” Jefferson Aitcheson Jr.

Obituary
Condolences

Edward “Jeff” Jefferson Aitcheson Jr., age 57 of Fort Worth, TX passed away on Saturday, April 20, 2024. Jeff was born to Edward Jefferson Aitcheson Sr. and Jane Aitcheson on September 7, 1966 in Trenton, NJ.

Edward was known to his family not only as “Jeff”, but as a giving and caring person who would give you the shirt off of his back. Jeff thought of everyone else before he thought of himself. Growing up, he was an outstanding football, baseball, and hockey athlete – as well as an incredible drummer in middle and high school. In 1995 Jeff moved to Texas where he worked as a restaurant manager. Then, in 2002, Jeff was blessed with a son, Edward “Eddie” Jefferson Aitcheson III. Once Jeff became a father, his whole world changed. Being a father became the most important aspect of life to him. He made many sacrifices for his son and was very proud of the hard working man he had raised. Jeff was good at finding ways to enjoy life and making sure that the people around him did as well. He was most passionate about music – he loved listening and sharing music, and had a story for just about every song. Jeff will be remembered not only as being a fun person to be around, but also as a great son, father, and brother.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister, Melissa (Daniel) Schlake, his son, Edward “Eddie” Jefferson Aitcheson III, his nieces and nephews; Alexander, Jacob, and Ashlyn Schlake, his best friend of 50 years, Mark (Katie) Wunderlich, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A memorial service for Jeff will be held at St. Henry Catholic Church at a later date. Details regarding the memorial service are pending at this time.
