Dorothy “Dottie” Harmeling, 97, of Elsmere, KY passed away on January 5, 2022 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Dorothy was a homemaker and enjoyed quilting, sewing, baking, cross stitching, playing bingo with her friends and particularly enjoyed visits from her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a member of St. Henry Church and also volunteered with St. Henry School. Dorothy was born to the late, Louis and Maude (nee: Holcomb) Vogt. She was preceded in death by her husband, John “Jack” Harmeling in 2012, daughter, Carol Schwartz and son, Jerry Harmeling. Dorothy is survived by her loving daughters, Christy Wolfe, Claudia Harmeling, Candy (Dave) Ahr, Cathy Milner and Laura Harmeling, sons, Jack Harmeling, Jim (Barb) Harmeling, Jay (Ruth) Harmeling and Joe Harmeling. She also leaves behind 21 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 from 10:30am 12:30pm at St. Henry Church, Erlanger, KY with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 12:30pm. Burial will be at St. Mary Cemetery Ft. Mitchell, KY. Per request of the Harmeling family, guest are asked to wear masks. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Henry Church.
