Charolette Howard

Janie Howard, nee: Trimble, 64 of Lexington, KY and formerly of Staffordsville, KY, passed away on Monday, Jan. 12, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. Janie was a retired stocker with JC Penny in Lexington, KY. She was an active member of Grace Freewill Baptist Church in Lexington, KY and also a member of the Third Street Freewill Baptist Church in Paintsville, KY. Janie was both a pianist and vocalist at both churches. She was an avid baker and marathon shopper. Her husband, Ellis Marvin Howard and brother, Davis Reed Trimble, Jr., preceded her in death. She is survived by her children; Jeffery (Julie) Howard of Lexington, KY, Stephanie (Chip) Phelps of Independence, KY, Jamie (Donna) Howard of Union, KY, brothers and sisters; Ginny (Leroy) Pelphrey of New Carlisle, OH, Jack Trimble, Bob (Gale) Trimble, and Debbie (BJ) Ward all of Paintsville, KY. She also leaves behind her grandchildren; Alex, Allen, Sean, Shelby, Payton, Rileigh and Kenan Howard, Kaden and Jimmy Trey Phelps. Visitation will be Friday, Jan. 16th from 9am to 1pm at Grace Freewill Baptist Church, 4281 Haley Rd. Lexington, KY with funeral services to follow at 1pm at the church.
