It is with great sadness that the family of Adelma Timmerman Schoborg announces her passing at the age of 99 on June 19, 2018, at Carmel Manor Nursing Home.  She was preceded in death by her husband William Henry Schoborg, her daughter Barbara Crawford and her son Philip.  Adelma will be lovingly remembered by her sons Thomas & wife Jodi, her son Martin & wife Therese; her grandchildren Thomas Schoborg & his fiancé Lauren, Christopher Schoborg, Mike Crawford & wife Katie, Marc Crawford & wife Jill, Ryan Crawford & Annie Persson, Alan Jordan and Brian Jordan; and her great-grandchildren Patrick, John, Rory, Quinn, Reese, Sawyer & Elle; as well as several beloved nieces and nephews.  She was loved by everyone that met her and she will be missed.

Adelma was a volunteer at Carmel Manor Nursing Home for many years; she became a resident of Carmel Manor in 2005.  She was born in Latonia, KY & spent her childhood on Clifford Avenue.  While attending Holy Cross High School, she met the love of her life William Schoborg. They married in 1944 and raised their four children on Sunset Ave in Erlanger.  Sadly, she lost her husband in 1961. Her strong faith in God gave her strength through those difficult times.  She will be best remembered for her incredible talent for art. One of her best works of art is a painting of the Blessed Mother, which is displayed in the hallway at Carmel Manor.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, a donation on behalf of Adelma Schoborg, be made to Carmel Manor Nursing Home, Activities Department, 100 Carmel Manor Rd, Ft Thomas, KY 41075.

Graveside services are at Mother of God Cemetery at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 23, 2018; followed by a funeral mass at the Carmel Manor Nursing Home chapel at 1:00 pm.

Bridge Club in Heaven

So very sorry to learn of your moms’ passing. She was always such a lady. I am pleased that the paintings she did for our mom are hanging in my home. I have no doubt all the club girls are showing her around and waiting to begin their bridge club in heaven. Love and sincere sympathy to all.

Latin School friend of Tom’s

Tom, so sorry to hear of you mom’s passing. She was always so nice to me and all your buddies back in the sixties. Even when I had that “accident” out in the sunroom on Sunset Ave. A very sweet lady. Also sorry to hear about Philip. Did not know that he had passed. Incidentally, my mom is still alive at Madonna Manor. She’ll be 101 in August. Take care. Tom Huller.

Family friend

I grew up knowing Adelma and her family – she was one of my mother’s best friends. For some reason my mother asked Del to paint a picture of the London Bridge and I have it hanging on my wall.

Del was always so happy to see me when I visited her at Carmel Manor.
