Willard Herndon Rusk, 86, entered eternal life on Friday, October 27, 2017 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Florence, KY. Willard, son of Jerome and Clara Rusk, was a Lieutenant in the US Navy. He was a civil engineer and land surveyor who devoted his time and talents not only throughout his professional career but also with the Florence Rotary Club and the Boy Scouts of America. He was preceded in passing by his parents and his siblings: Woodward Raymond Lane, Loren Blaine Rusk and Vera Faye Angel. Willard will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 62 years Wanda Leona Crane Rusk; their children: Thomas Earl (Beverly) Rusk, Catherine Frances Killingsworth, Patricia Lynn (Albert) Durant, Catherine Elizabeth Poston, and Douglas Ray Rusk; his sister Norma Dean Benson; 10 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews as well as many family members and friends. Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 2, 2017 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Linnemann Family Funeral Home and Event Center in Burlington, KY with service to follow at 12:00 PM. Interment will be held at Williamstown Veterans Cemetery in Williamstown, KY. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to: Ashland Avenue Baptist Church: 2735 Ashland Ave; Covington, KY 41015 or Florence Rotary Club: P.O. Box 6027, Florence, KY 41022.
