Thelma Martha Greene, 91, transferred to her heavenly home to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on the evening of March 3, 2018.

Born in Norway, Maine, she was the daughter of John and Gertrude Cox. Her parents, her sister (Etta), her brother (Bill), and a half- sister (Edna) preceded her in death.  She attended Nyack Missionary College in New York for one year, but then married and moved to New Jersey.  Thelma was employed at Peerless Tube Co. in Bloomfield, New Jersey as an inspector for 30 years.  After retirement, she moved to Kentucky to be near her family.  She worked at Karmelkorn in the Florence Mall for years.  In 2002, she overcame a near fatal bout with Guillain-Barre’ Syndrome.  She went from almost total paralysis back to independent living.  God is good.  Thelma was a faithful member of the Crescent Springs Church of God.  She was known for her knitting skills as well as her cheerfulness.  She would often say “smile” or stick out her tongue just to brighten someone’s day.  She was more outspoken as she aged and everyone knew to “beware of Thelma’s pinching fingers”.  People use words like loving, giving, fun loving, and feisty to describe Thelma.  She loved children and they loved her.  The joy of her life was serving Jesus, her Savior.  She was committed to Him and prayed to be a light for Him.  Her desire was for others to accept Jesus.

She will be greatly missed by her children, Pat (Patti) Greene Brantley (Mike), Florence, KY, Becky Greene Watkins (Bob), Clinton, Oklahoma, and Bob Greene, Florence, KY.  She is also survived by her loving sister, Lee Pavelchak (Jim), Indianapolis, IN.  She was Grandma to 10 grandchildren, several step-grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and countless children who just loved and claimed her.

First Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Linnemann Funeral Home in Erlanger, KY.

Second visitation will be held on Thursday, March 8, 2018 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Crescent Springs Church of God, 2500 High Street Crescent Springs, KY.
