Sy, “Snooks” Bolte age 93 died peacefully at his residence on Sunday evening. He was a retired Tool & Die Maker with Kratz Wilde Machine Company. Sy was a longtime member of St. Paul’s Church and the Knight’s of Columbus. He was preceded in death by his wife Evelyn, and 2 daughters, Linda Bolte and Patty Dirr. Survivors include 4 sons: Bernie, Chris, Mark (Debbie), and Greg Bolte; a daughter Susan (Doug) Baker and a sister Rita Tanner. Sy was grandpa to Doug, Kevin, Shelby and Brady and great grandpa to Aubrey and Olivia. Visitation will be Thursday April 12th 5-8pm at Linnemann Funeral Home, Burlington. Friends and relatives are invited to meet at St. Paul’s Church on Friday April 13th at 10am for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be in St. John’s Cemetery. www.linnemannfuneralhomes.com

So sorry.

I had the privilege of caring for Sy multiple times at Baptist Village for rehab. He was one of the most positive and happy people I’d ever met and he knew how to brighten everyone’s day. He will be so missed.

RIP Uncle Snooks. I’ll always remember the fun I had at your house when I stayed with Linda, playing croquet, the first communion parties, Aunt Every canning jelly, your garden, and most of all your hugs. You gave the biggest hugs.
