Judith Anne Westerman (nee Mistler), 66, of Villa Hills, KY, passed away peacefully, but unexpectedly, in her sleep on Wednesday, October 11, 2017. Judy was a pediatric nurse for over 35 years and a weekly volunteer at each of her grandchildren’s schools in retirement. Judy was a dedicated caretaker of her patients, community and family. She adored her children and grandchildren; spending time with them was the most important part of “Nana’s” life. Judy’s second love was the water, many memories were made at the beach, lake and pool. Judith was preceded in death by father, Thomas H. Mistler, and her nephew, Andrew Mistler. Judy is survived by her mother, Helen Mistler of Erlanger, KY; her husband of 40 years, Paul Westerman of Villa Hills; her children, Jonathan (Elizabeth) Westerman of Loveland, OH, and Katie (Ben) Lockwood of Lexington, KY; and her siblings, Jeanne Buring of Union, KY, Amy Mistler of Covington, KY, John (Debby) Mistler of Nashville, TN, Greg (Michele) Mistler of Erlanger, KY, Thomas Mistler of Austin, TX, and numerous nieces and nephews. Nana now watches over her beloved grandchildren, Julianna (9) and Jack (6) Westerman, and baby granddaughter Lockwood, due to be born this week, which Judy was joyfully awaiting. Visitation will be on Sunday, October 15, 2017 from 1:00PM-4:00PM at Linnemann Funeral Homes in Erlanger. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, October 16, 2017 at 11:00AM at St. Joseph in Crescent Springs, KY. Burial at St. Mary Cemetery in Ft. Mitchell, KY. ,

I am sorry for your loss.

Paul, Jonathan, Katie, and family,
It was sad to hear of Judy passing on to heaven. What a blessing it has been to know her and to have her as part of the family. She has a place in my heart, and her thoughtful, kind spirit and ways will be missed. You all are in thoughts and prayers for comfort and peace.
Love to you,
Tricia Carlisle

Sorry for your loss

Paul and family sorry to hear about Judy she sure was a great person she will be deeply missed. Gone but never forgotten.

Judith Mistler Westerman

Paul and family: I can not put into words how sorry we are to hear of Judy’s sudden passing; she was one of the sweetest and down to earth people I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. Our years of working with each other at Signode, along with the times the four of us spent socially together were some of the most special times of my life; she was such a joy to be around day in and day out . . . and Paul, the two of you together were such a beautiful couple who adored each other in everything you did. I’m sorry about this, and I hope you understand, but we’re in Florida until the 18th so unfortunately we won’t be able to attend this lovely lady’s services; however Judy, along with your entire family will be a constant in our thoughts and prayers!! With “sorrow” in our hearts we remain; Respectively yours, Gaye & Ron Eubanks

We are so sorry for your loss.

Dear Mistler/Westerman Families

We are so so sorry to hear of Judy’s sudden passing. I am sure you are all in a state of complete shock. We are sending you our thoughts and prayers at this difficult time. Though we have somewhat lost contact over the years, it has been fun reconnecting with Amy on Facebook and hearing little bits of family news. Kristina and I both have such fond memories of family gatherings with all of us together, not often enough but still memorable!

Please pass our love to all the family, give each other hugs for us and hold on tight to each other. Sending you our love and prayers!
Lisa and Kristina Newport

My Big Sis, Judy

Judy was the best big sister anyone could ask for. I spent a lot of time with her at her home recently due to a special circumstance. I think God sent that situation as a gift to me and her. Thank you Lord! I will never forget these recent special times with Judy. We both had a love affair with the beach and ocean! She got that beach/ocean connection and so did I!

Love,
Your Baby Sis,
Daughter #3,
Amy Therese Mistler

Loving thoughts and prayers

Judy was my amazing Godmother and a dear family member. Judy was very loving and supportive, and made incredible brownies when someone was ill or needed cheering up. She always had a smile and a hug to share. She was a beautiful soul who will be dearly missed. Love and prayers to all the family

Prayers with all of you

To my Mistler cousins and famlies I am so sorry to hear of Judy’s passing .
Some my best memories of growing up are the picnics and Thanksgivings that we spent together as kids. Judy was always in the thick of the mix when the wild bunch of us had fun in the backyards and basements.

I am so sorry to hear about Judy. I worked with her years ago at Interim Healthcare. Judy was always kind to people and went above and beyond. RIP Judy. You will be missed.

So very sorry to hear this

Paul and family, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Please accept my deepest condolences. I didn’t know Judy well, but I had met here and knew her to be very caring and supportive of her family. I hope that the passing of time allows you to turn from the pain of loss to the joy of great memories. Take care all, you are in my thoughts and prayers.
