Gordon G. Palmer, 87 of Cincinnati, OH formerly of Ft. Mitchell and Richwood, KY went to be with the Lord Thursday, July 6, 2017. Gordon retired as Corporate Senior Vice President of Litton Industries in Hebron, KY after 26 years of service. He was a former Chairman of the Board for Baptist Hospitals of KY; a member of the Engineering Hall of Fame of the Georgia Institute of Technology; the regional chairman for the Northern Kentucky Decade of Progress Board for Georgetown College; served on the long range planning committee and building committee for Ft. Mitchell Baptist Church, a board member of the Northern Kentucky Tri-Ed and the Prichard Committee for Academic Excellence. Gordon enjoyed cooking for his family, flying and all things airplanes. He was happiest spending time with his family and pursuing his numerous projects, the latest being the restoration of a 1932 Fairchild 22. Gordon was a member of Ft. Mitchell Baptist Church and proudly served our country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War and held the rank of Staff Sgt. He was born to the late Harmon and Gizella (nee: Gross) Palmer and grew up in Flint, MI. Gordon is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Melbaree “Ree” (nee: Lands) Palmer and their children, Greg (Lauren) Palmer and Gary (Julia) Palmer. He leaves behind 5 grandchildren, Samantha, Madison (Matt), Evan, Melanie and Daniel along with his sisters, Joyce (Ron) Lund, Janet (John) Mahon and brother, Ken (Billie) Palmer. His sister, Mary Hackenberg, preceded him in death. Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 15, 2017 from 10am to 11am at Ft. Mitchell Baptist Church, Ft. Mitchell, KY with services to follow at 11am. A private interment service will take place Friday at Forest Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (PO Box 50, Memphis TN  38101-9929) or Ft. Mitchell Baptist Church (2323 Dixie Hwy., Ft.
