Charles Rex Mahannah

Charles Rex Mahannah, 86, of Florence, KY passed away peacefully on Friday, February 16, 2018 at Villa Springs of Erlanger surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Mahannah proudly served our country in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. He was a retired Greenhouse man with the Botanical department at the University of Illinois. Surviving are his children, Kathy Mahannah of Florence, KY and Timothy (Jana) Mahannah of IL. He also leaves behind his sister, Martha Guyon, brother, Ray Mahannah and grandchildren, Chase A. and Preston C. Knibbe, Molly S. Mahannah and Madison Higgins. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth E. Mahannah (nee Minyard) and brother, Richard D. Mahannah. Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2018 from 10am to 11am at Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 S. Philo Rd., Urbana, IL 61802 with funeral services to follow at 11am at the funeral home.
