Condolence From: Mary Kelly
Condolence: My dear friend and former grad school colleague, Jimmie. I remember when you and Harry fell in love. You were SMITTEN. It was my privilege to play the piano at your wedding at your parents' home in Oak Ridge. I just learned of Harry's death when searching for you online. Needless to say I was shocked. I do hope we can re-connect so I can offer my condolences in person. Until then, you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Condolence: Harry, I still can't believe it. As I get ready to attend your memorial service today I am extremely sad but I will always keep happy memories of a truly "good guy" from the Class of '72, Lloyd High School, Erlanger. Harry, we all make mistakes. May God be with your family and friends at this very difficult time and may you now rest in peace.

Condolence: I had the privilege of going to Transy and Law school with Harry David Rankin. My life and evryone else's was better off because of Harry. He had no idea how much he was loved, respected and admired throughout this state. He was a genuine person who once you became his friend , you were his friend for life.I've had so many attorneys from around the state say to me, Harry was not only a good attorney, but an even better person. I got to spend 4 days with Harry in March at the SEC BB tourney and now I'll never forget those days together..He was a great companion to spend time with in New Orleans. His passing leaves a great void in mine and everyone who knew him's, life.I hope his children and Jimmy, knew how much he loved them and how proud he was of them.I still can't believe he is gone and I'll miss him terribly. Condolence: I cant find the words to express my deepest sympathy at the loss of Harry. Any time I think back to my Transy years Harry is always in mind. We were able to re start the freshman football team in intramurals and to this day I never had any one throw me a football better than Harry. As freshmen we beat the KAs.On a last minute touchdown. When we got the ball back to run out the clock Harry stepped into the huddle and said welcome to Harry Rankin Time. Well Harry I will always remember you as a terrific classmate and friend. God Bless .
